Add another till

For owners. Once your first till is linked to ByteBarn Cloud, every other till joins the same business with a one-time pairing code.

Get a pairing code

Section titled “Get a pairing code”

On a till that’s already linked, as an admin or manager:

  1. Go to Settings → Cloud Sync.
  2. Under Add another till, select Generate pairing code.

The 6-digit code works once, and only for 10 minutes. Generating another doesn’t cancel an earlier one; each still runs out on its own.

Then, on the new till, follow Join an existing business.

With more than one till

  • Each till works on its own, online or not, and they share their changes through ByteBarn Cloud. Online, another till’s changes arrive within a second.
  • Each till gets a code: T1 for the first, T2 for the next, and so on. Its quotations, invoices, deliveries, stock takes and purchase orders carry it, such as INV-T2-0001, so two tills never hand out the same number.
  • Staff log in on any till with the same username and password or PIN.
  • Two tills can occasionally clash while offline: both selling the last unit, or both adding the same customer. See oversold products and duplicates and merging.
