Reports and exports

For owners. Reports shows how the business is doing over a date range: what you sold, what it cost, and the VAT in it.

Under Date Range: Last 7 days, Last 30 days (the start), This month, This quarter, or Custom range.

  • Total Revenue: everything sold in the range, VAT included.
  • Gross Profit, with its margin: revenue minus what the goods cost.
  • VAT Collected: the VAT inside that revenue.
  • Transactions: the number of sales.
  • Revenue Over Time: a bar per day.
  • Revenue by Category: each category’s share, from what was actually charged after discounts.
  • A table with each day’s Transactions, Revenue, Cost, Profit and Margin.

Cost uses each product’s current cost (the average of what you’ve paid, which receiving stock keeps up to date), not what it cost on the day it was sold. For a recent range that’s close; over a long one, if costs have moved, profit is an estimate.

Revenue and profit are before refunds: a refunded sale still counts in full. Expenses aren’t taken off either; see Expenses.

Select Export and choose Excel (.xlsx) or CSV (.csv) to save the day-by-day table (date, transactions, revenue, cost, profit and margin) for your accountant or a spreadsheet.
